**Vehicle and off road bikes seized** |
||
|
Yesterday whilst out on patrol reports were received of off road bikes driving anti socially in the Reeth area.
The bikes were off road bikes, driving dangerously and causing a nuisance to residents in the area.
Upon arrival in Reeth, three off road motorbikes made off from the police, disappearing towards Fremington Edge.
Speaking with local residents we were informed that the three bikes had been dropped off in a van, and the van was parked further around the corner in Reeth. The van was believed to have been driven uninsured to the area, with the bikes and a number of people within.
Again, keeping in close contact with residents, we were kept aware of when the bikes returned to the van, and when they left the area.
Tracking the vehicles movements, we stopped the van returning to the Durham area. Inside the van were six off road motorbikes, and as suspected, the van was being driven without insurance. The vehicle was therefore seized, along with the bikes within.
We take pride in our beauty spots, and will not tolerate people heading into North Yorkshire, driving anti socially, and causing a nuisance to people local residents.
If you witness anti social behaviour please report this through to us.
Please see the photos attached to this email of the vehicles and bikes seized.
